In my quest to rediscover the industry that *tends* to blossoms without my awareness, I took a stroll down the street to this terrific space many of you are hopefully already aware of: Pixels 2.1 Gallery. Gallery owner Joe Kerr has been involved in the Winnipeg photo scene for many years in various incarnations. His most recent undertaking is Pixels2.1 Gallery on McDermot Ave. (just past Albert St.) The gallery acts as a comprehensive resource for the Winnipeg photographic community.
Joe offers not only a space for photographic exhibitions, but offers unique seminars and is host to informative talks with specialists in the field.
If you want to know what’s going on in Winnipeg, Joe will either know, or will be making it happen.
Right now in his space you will see images from the Tec Voc photography program and staring Friday, May 25th begins works from the full time Prairie View School of Photography, Professional Diploma Program students.
This space is truly unique as it caters specifically to the Photographic arts both professional and budding.
I would encourage anyone to head down and check out what’s going on.Posted by Kristy | 0 comments
